PC freezing during games

Hi all,

I've recently built a new rig and I'm having some problems. They may be related but I was wondering if I could get your take.
I was having TDR problems with my MSI GTX 770, tried a bunch of fixes but none worked. RMA'd it and they found a fault, so I'm getting another.
Meanwhile I've just been using the integrated graphics (Intel HD 4600). I've been playing Deus Ex (the old one) and whenever some detailed graphics needed to be produced, the whole system will freeze and whatever sound is playing will loop. The restart button won't work and I need to perform a hard restart. This happens in other games too.

My question is, is this normal? I've seen people play CSGO on the integrated chip so it shouldn't be struggling on a game that is 14 years old? Could this freezing be linked to my Graphics card problems?

When using any thing integrated graphics I would run the settings on med to low. It is normal to see that on any integrated graphics.

The other thing is the CPU is doing all the work now. Where you had the CPU & GPU sharing the load. I wouldn't worry about it.

I definitely agree that I shouldn't be worried, I'm getting my RMA'd graphics card back in a day or so.  It just annoys me because it seems other people can run these games on the integrated chip but I can't.  It makes me think that it may be a hardware fault (although really I don't know what I'm talking about)
