I have an EP45-DS3L board running Vista which has been working very well for about a year. Yesterday I began to notice internet connectivity problems. I removed the router and connected directly to the cable modem and the problems appeared to go away. Thinking that I had a bad router, I replaced it but am finding the same problem. Different cables--same result. Another computer confirms the router and modem are ok.
Does this suggest a problem has developed with the LAN on the motherboard or would you suspect power supply? The lights on the router indicate that there is no connection detected. But what is the difference between a connection to a router and a modem to the LAN circuitry?
Unless I get better advice, I will buy a LAN card next.
