After a fresh install Windows 7 64bit SP1 and installing latest drivers from Gigabyte website I get very often messages : Error: Power Surge On Hub Port: A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port.
And also sometimes :BSOD - Driver Power State Failure
If i try to unistall USB 3.0 drivers, then on restart, Windows shuts down more than 10 minutes. CPU utilization (Windows task manager) on Core1 is 100%. Then i need to go to Safe mode to uninstall usb 3.0 drivers and reinstall them. Then they all problems start again and Windows is very slow or start freezing
All this on a fresh Windows installation!
I have only a USB keyboard attached to computer, The errors show even without any USB device attached to computer. The mouse is PS/2.
If i make a fresh install of Windows 8.1 64bit everything runs fine. Only Error messages:" Power Surge On Hub Port: A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port" show several times, but after apply all Windows updates, those messages stop and everything works just perfect.
That motherboard definitely has problems with USB on for Windows 7. But not on Windows 8.1.
Windows 7 is not supported on this motherboard? USB drivers not tested on Windows 7?
Does someone else have such problems?
