Well some two weeks ago i purchased this motheboard as an upgrade from Asus M4a87TD-evo.
Already in windows 8.1 64 bit it was straight forward.Just some drivers were needed.
The upgrade as done because my main goal was to go to a SAS raid Volume using LSI D2616 & 4 SAS2 300GB disks.
But while i was testing the volume as a secondary disk i had a crash from my single main disk (WD 1TD sata2) which proved to be not repairable.
So i tryed to install windows 8.1 64bit.
I tryed to install to SAS volume but it kept asking for a media driver.
I thought i had the wrong driver so i took out the D2616 and the sas raid and tryied to install Windows at the SATA disk.No good.
Disabled everything exept USB2 ports and SATA controllers using either AHCI or native IDE.No good.
Disabled the SATA controllers and tryed using tha SAS volume and as a source a USB flash disk with windows source DVD .No good.
Of cource i used every driver i found at the site related to preinstall or not (AMD SB950 chipset drivers).
I thought that i could enable some kind of debug logging while using the USB source disk but don't know how to do this.
Please note that this happens only in 64bit .With windows 32bit it continues the installation without prompting for driver
In the end i ended using my loyal Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit at the SAS volume but i am very frustrated about the whole issue.Any clues?
