GA-MA785GMT-UD2H - Verifying DMI Issue?

Hello everyone,
I recently built up a brand new system, i'm using a GA-MA785GMT-UD2H (rev 1.1)(F5 Bios) and an AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE.

Everything runs flawlessly except that EVERY SINGLE TIME i boot up my pc this message shows up:

"Verifying DMI Pool data...
AMD data change...Update new data to DMI." this message just blink for a sec, since my boot is really fast.

Everest also shows some interesting information regarding my DMI:



What you guys can tell me? Is that normal? Should i worry?

I've already tried to clear CMOS/DMI and some other minor sets. Anyhow, if you do have any tip on anything i could try, it will be more than welcome.

Well you have already cleared the CMOS the other thing to try is to update the chipset drivers.

I wouldn't worry too much about the DMI Update message. It is a problem with the BIOS and, to be honest, I thought we had seen the last of this. If you update to a newer version you will find this message no longer appears.

As for the information that you are seeing in Everest. I have just downloaded this utility and it shows exactly the same thing on my system, which I know is running fine.

So I would suggest that it is a glitch with the way Everest is reporting things and not really a problem.

Hi there mate, ive flashed my bios to the newest one (F9) and the bloody "amd data change" message still.. Do you also get that everytime you turn on your computer?

Hi there mate, well i havent but since you're insisting on that i must assume its worth trying! I just need some guidance on it though, since i dont have the slightly idea of how am i supposed to do it. could you give me some light?

Hi Green_Man,

If the DMI Data Update message is still appearing then to be honest, you're stuffed and unless there is a new BIOS coming along you are going to get this every time you boot. I know it is annoying and can cause a few doubts but, it really isn't a problem and is quite normal. Even if you had a version of BIOS that didn't show this as happening it still does, it's just then hidden from view.

In answer to your question do I get this message, the answer is on my current rig no. But I have been faced with exactly the same thing on many PC's that I have built and in fact, the last machine that I built for a friend uses the same mobo as you but with an Athlon CPU and he gets the message too.

The reason that I said I thought we had seen the last of this kind of issue is because it has appeared on the Forum before. At that time the Forum Moderator runn3R posted this:

I confirmed it with our HQ, there is nothing to worry about. The explanation is as follows:
The message means that data of the memory registry of K8 processor has been updated to DMI when the system is turned on. Those data are aimed to be written back to processor when PC wakes up from sleep mode of S3(STR).

Anyway a special bios will be made soon without this message (as it maybe confusing)

That seems fair enough then absic I was just thinking that as the DMI was for data transport between the Nothbridge and Southbridge that maybe a chipset driver update would fix it.

If you enable full screen logo you shouldnt see that message.  I cant tell you for sure on my motherboard it is a different gigabyte.  But i happen at this very moment be working on one i built with that motherboard and after numerious tries i still get that message.

So i would say it is normal and no worries, mate
