Every time I try to start a stress test for this board (i7-4790K stock settings ... no O/C) the PC reboots.
Same problem with Prime95.
I am an experienced O/C'r with ASUS ROG boards but I ran into too many problems with the HERO and simply would not risk using them with a client machine. So, I came back to my tried and true MoBo mfgr.
All of the settings are stock except for the XMP 2400 (G.Skill TridentX F3-2400C10D-8GTX DDR3-2400 memory sticks - 2 x 4GB).
CPU-Z puts Core Voltage @ 0.914V
CPUID HWMonitor Core Voltage @ 1.04V
The power supply is a Seasonic SSR-550RM 550W RT ... so I'm pretty sure the 12V rail voltage is stable.
Also, I want to keep this CPU running at 4.0GHz all of the time ...
Core Temp 0.99.8 Frequency: 3850.17MHz (100 x 38.5)
CPU-Z Core Speed: 800 MHz ; Multiplier: 8.0 ; Bus Speed 100.00 MHz
The BIOS looks like it is setup for this but I don't know which utility to trust since my two favorites do not agree on anything.
Thanks,
C. T.
