Seems a common story. It can run for a few minutes and occasionally and hour or even more. But 8 times out of 10 , any high end game end with a crash. BF4, FarCry3, Crysis3 and others. FC3 probably being the worst offender.
Black screen, frozen, DirectX error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG message.
Its my second card, the retailer insists they have tested it and found no issue. Their tests were short and included low end games ... sigh.. but now will not assist. Apparently they find these the most stable cards they sell ...
Despite the fact that i have 2 systems and can replicate the issues on both. My 770OC works fine. Complete OS reinstall and many other things tried. No overclocking, temps max around 77degrees, high end PSU's in both. My issue only seems to surface at high resolution 2560x1600, 1920x1200 does not seem to have any issue.
There is definitely something wrong with these cards.
How have you guys been finding your retailers and gigabyte tech support?
