Hi there,
I have recently replaced an aging Geforce gtx 260 with a gigabyte r7 260x - model number GV-R726XWF2-2GD - rev 2.0 bios f60
It is running on a 1 yr old gigabyte mobo - 970A-DS3 rev 1.1 Bios F6
Windows 7 64bit, 900w psu, 8gb ram, bulldozer 4100
All nvidia software was cleanly uninstalled, although on rebooting with the geforce still in the machine afterwards, windows reinstalled its own driver for it
Since putting the 260x in the machine, When selecting 'Shut Down' in windows, Windows exits as normal but the pc does not turn off
The power button is unresponsive, even holding it in, and the only way to turn it off is the switch on the power supply
If we put the old graphics card back in, the problem goes away
I have ensured that mobo bios and amd drivers are up to date, and have also reset bios settings to fail safe defaults
Games run great and I get the expected benchmarks from the 260x
Do I have a faulty card?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated
Many Thanks
