S4_S5 ACPI Led flashing after shutdown
« on: October 08, 2014, 01:53:56 pm »
Shut down my pc as normal last night but then noticed some flashing coming from inside the case.
The power button and a red LED next to S4_S5 were flashing - I checked the user manual and it says this is to do with inproper plug/unplug action but no idea what that means :)

The MB is a Z68x-ud5-b3

Any help on this available?

What I would do is unplug the computer. Then pull out the 24 & 8 pin plugs. Then plug them back in.

Make sure your 24 pin plug is plug in all the way. Give that a try because the other day I was setting up a computer.

I didn't have the 24 pin plug in all the way. The board I was working the LED code display didn't light up.

I know that isn't the same thing but any little thing like that might cause the problem.

Thanks. I'll give it a try, other research I did suggested a loose cable or an earthing issue
