BUYING A GIGABYTE BOARD WAS A BIG MISTAKE ! WIFI not supported for Win 8.1

I bought the GA-X79S-WIFI mobo for the WIFI capability.  Now they tell me that they aren't going to support it working in Windows 8.1 !!

The company doesn't have a toll-free number AND it takes 3 to 5 days to get a response to "e Support" emails.  When you do get a response they don't answer the questions you ask.

I've asked 8 questions and only got 1 answer that was helpful.  It's as if they can't be bothered the answer the questions that are asked.

This is the WORST experience I've ever had with a computer company.

Here's my Question :

The WIFI/Bluetooth (Ver 1.2) disk autorun reports : "Don't Support on this Platform" Where is the Wi-Fi Share Utility for Windows 8.1 64bit ? Where is the Cloudstation Utility for Windows 8.1 64bit ? How can I get my WIFI/Bluetooth card working ? Thanks,

followed up by:
How do I get the WIFI to act in Virtual Router Mode ? I would like other devices to be able to connect to the internet through this WIFI (as a WAP).

Answer:
You will need to use a 3rd party software which is capable of performing this task, if you wish to use the wi-fi share utility you will need to revert back to Windows 7
***********************
Did they tell me which "3rd party software" ? , NO
Did they tell me which "task" I'm supposed to tackle to get the WIFI working ?   NO
Did Gigabyte inform potential customers that the WIFI is not supported in Windows 8.1 ?  NO

Have you tried to find the latest drivers available for Windows 8.1 from Atheros ?

Eg

http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/BLUETOOTH/Atheros/Qualcomm-Atheros-AR3011-Bluetooth-30-plus-HS-Adapter-Driver-801240-for-Windows-81.shtml

THANKS FOR THE POSSIBLE SOLUTION. I downloaded the driver(s) but win 8.1 reports that all the Bluetooth Modules and Emulators & the Network Adapters are up to date.

Cheers,
Rod

Yeah me too same problem, I have the GC-WB300D using Windows 8.1 64 bit.
I have the driver and Killer application suite installed but cannot see any options for any thing to do with bluetooth any where.
This is really wank as I bought this board because it supposedly had bluetooth.
I can not see any thing regarding bluetooth in add device and when I try to add device it never finds any of my bluetooth devices.

The wireless side is working fine which I don't really need.

The drivers on Gigabytes site are maybe the newest ones out there. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4287#driver

You really can't blame Gigabytes for windows 8 & 8.1 short falls. There are a lot threads here on problems from windows 8 & 8.1.

I'm sorry you are having problems but I feel it is more windows 8 & 8.1 that is the real problem.

I might be wrong but these boards were maybe made before windows 8. So if there is any body running windows 7 and not having problems.

Then it isn't the board or the WIFI / Bluetooth that is the problem, it is windows 8.
