I have only been using one stick of ram for the last 3 months because it has never worked with both. After reading online that a cmos reset and reseating the motherboard could fix it, I tested my luck with the second stick from the same package (G.Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133). Now the pc won't post at all with 1 stick or 2 stick. The pc goes in an infinite loop of powering on and off (the power goes on, the fan spins for 10-7 seconds and then powers down). I'm not sure what could caused the problem. This happen before and after reading online, a few minutes of waiting with the motherboard battery out did the trick. Now it won't post after waiting 8 hours plus and shorting the cmos pin didn't work. I have tried bread boarding with just a cpu, cpu cooler, 1 stick of ram, and a monitor with no success. I have tried a different power supply and achieve the same results. My friend tested the ram in his build and they were fine. I can't test the motherboard nor cpu. My motherboard is rev 2.0. help please.

It honestly sounds like bent pins in cpu socket. Get a magnifying glass and look at them to check.

Thankyou for the reply, if it is bent pin, is there a way to fix it? And what could cause the pins to bend?

EDIT: after some quick google searches I'm not sure if the pins are bent or are that way naturally, http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1150/Z87-A/LGA1150_CPU_installation.pdf page two of this pdf was used as a reference photo and my socket pins seem fine. Also the cpu wasn't touched at all when I added the ram so how would it cause the problem?

not saying that was it just 1 thing to check.  The problem you describe is a lot like having a bent pin. When the computer is turned on does your keyboard and mouse lite up for any of that 10 seconds.

That rules out bent pins usually they wont lite up if pins are bent.

I'm using a Intel Core i5-4430 for cpu, I have no clue about the bios, whatever the stock option is from the disc. I also have a 760 evga as my gpu and the rams that I posted earlier. That's all I have and the cpu cooler. I'm not sure what normal or delidded is sorry. And I meant that the mice doesn't light up sorry.
