Realtek Audio Driver Issue

Realtek Audio Driver Issue
« on: November 17, 2014, 05:02:27 am »
Good evening gentlemen. I'm having terrible sound through my nice expensive head phones and I think I've pin pointed the problem. As of right now, the sound is very extreme to either the right or the left when gaming. If I look right in game, every sound is now coming from the right, and vice versa. I need the headphone virtualization option in Realtek, but it won't allow me to choose headphones as an option instead of speakers

I just had a new gigabyte z97x-sli installed today and I installed the Realtek drivers from their site as well, A common problem people have with Realtek is that it reads a headset input as speakers, and you simply want to right click, choose "connector retasking" in the Realtek panel, and change it to headphones. The "front speaker out" jack doesn't have that option when I plug in. It's the only plug-in jack that doesn't give a pop up when I plug in as well.

As you can see here, two options for my microphone jack.

But here, in the front-speaker-out jack, it doesn't allow me to switch to headphones like I need to do..

Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

It is more likely the headset than the motherboard. But thing is you have them plug in the back of the computer by those screen shots.

I use speakers and headset. I have mine plug in the front panel. There is no headset option.

Yes they should work back there too. But they are only going to show up as speakers.
