New G1.Sniper Z87 Won't Post, Stays at No.15
« on: November 19, 2014, 11:34:27 am »
Hi Guys i'm new to the website and PC building. For an easy entry i thought i would buy a pre built Motherboard, CPU and RAM set then all i needed to do was get a GPU and plug it all in.

Specs:
G1.Sniper Z87 Rev 1.1
Intel i5 4670K
Corsair 8GB DDR3 1866MHz Dual Channel Vengeance Pro.
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 780.
PSU- Coolermaster GX Bronze 650W

Like i said i just set it up and when it starts it goes straight to No.15 and stays there. There is video output from the GPU or the motherboard. Depending what BIOS i have set it either does this or just constantly restarts itself without displaying a thing. I'm sure everything is plugged in correctly and It should all work together.

Any ideas guys?
Thanks for your help

Greetings,
Unplug your system
Ground yourself
Carefully remove and reseat each memory module
Retest

***Further steps
Remove memory and inspect slots for bent pins
Confirm full amount of memory is detected in BIOS
Use setup defaults - retest
If XMP capable, select this option - retest
Test with other memory
***Last resort, remove CPU and inspect socket for bent pins

Error means simply, no memory is detected when its expected.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Very Quick indeed. It does seem that you are right during the shipping and delivery one of the RAM sticks came slightly out of place. After messing around with it I finally got it working. Then i had another problem with my SSD not working but i have now solved that too.

Thank you for your reply!!
