04 debug Code

04 debug Code
« on: April 04, 2013, 10:53:57 pm »
I have a recently built system which has not given me any issues with ga-z77x-ud3h motherboard. On boot it would show A0 and 03 upon being awakened ( all of which are appropriate I believe). All of the sudden today I noticed that after computer has been shut down and turned back on the LED would show 04. If rebooted it would indicate the usual A0 code and if woken would show the typical 03. However, every time I turn it on from shut down, it would show up as 04. I have not noticed any issues other than the random code. Any ideas as to what it may be?

My BIOS version is F18. I updated it recently, I wonder if it has to do with it. Thanks in advance!

There is no 03 & 04 code in the book. If the computer is boot OK I wouldn't worry about it.

I did some looking and this is what I found:

03 Initial Superio_Early_Init switch

04 Reserved/Unused
X299X Aorus Master, i9-9940x-3.30Ghz, 64gb G-Skill DDR4-2400, MSI RTX-3070 8GB, Cooler Master case, Thermal-take PSU 850w, 1-M2-NMVe SSD-512gb, 3-Pny 1TB SSD, 2-WD Raptors 1TB, Win 10 pro 64bit, Asus 35" 144Mhz Monitor.

Thanks for the reply. I also did some searching but was not able to find anything of value. My concern is really about this code popping up when it has not before. There has to be a reason for it to all of the sudden appear. What do you think 04 Reserved/Unused could relate to? I am pretty sure it came after the BIOS update to F18, although I can't be entirely sure.

I can said that since I have 04 on display, my HDMI doesn't working anymore. Anyone have a clue about how can I do? Thanks a lot
