GA Z97 D3H (Know error?)

GA Z97 D3H (Know error?)
« on: December 16, 2014, 04:22:59 pm »
I was reading on the internet about my processor when I realized that my onboard VGA was more powerful than my current video card.
So when I went to test, put the DVI cable to motherboard and I have a usb microsoft receiver, when I put the cable dvi in onboard entry soon realized the error, both the two USB's 2.0 and mouse input stopped working, only the dvi worked.
When I disconnect the DVI both entries again function normally.
I wonder, it is a recognized error in this product by the gigabyte?
Because if not I will make the change straightaway.

Heres a link with a video i have done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWiqnVhCeJI&feature=youtu.be

If you can try and take the board out and check to make sure that it isn't shorting out on something. Plus try the board on the outside of the case to see if you have the same problem.

I tried it now and continued with that same type of problem, I tested both HDMI and VGA inputs function normally, only the DVI give this error on the motherboard.

I know people don't like to do this, but pull off the CPU cooler and take out the CPU and check the pins to see if you have a bent pin. If you don't then there is a short in the board some place.

Because the on board video is in the CPU. It could even be the CPU too. Plus one other thing have you tried another DVI cable. Or you you have adapter that goes from DVI to VGA.

Already i tested it in HDMI and VGA both worked well and don't show any problems with usb's or other things. I think it's the motherboard that came with manufacturing defect. I will find out more to see if I can test with another mouse and keyboard receiver  but I think it will doesn't work , since the p2 mouse dont works when i connect the DVI.
