« on: December 16, 2014, 07:54:41 am »
hi , here is my new computer spec:

PSU- SeaSonic 550W 80+ Gold G-550 modular

MB- GA-X99-UD4

CPU - intel i7 5820k

in the PSU there is 2 ATX12V connectors and my question is does the 2 ATX12V connectors of this PSU should feet to the ATX_2x4_12V  connector on the motherboard ?  or i need to plug only one of them  ? ... cause i tried to plug the 2 of them and its seems not feet . .

also on one of the ATX12V connector there is a mark M and the other connector is clean  . .

what should i do  ?    thanks .

Hi there,

from what I can find out about your PSU the two cables that you are referring to are actually the ones for Graphic Cards (6+2 pin) and NOT the motherboard.

The Motherboard 12V ATX cable is the 8 pin (4+4) lead that is part of the cables directly connected to the PSU and this is the one that you should connect to the motherboard
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

yes i know , thats what i actually meant for .. for the cable that directly connect to the psu with 2 12V ATX connectors ..

this is what i tried to insert directly into the motherboard 8 pin (4+4)  .. is there is a way its not feet in ..?  ..?

its only feet in when i first connect the 1 to 3 power adapter cable that came with the motherboard (as i understand its for overclocking method )   and to that adapter i connect the 2 12V ATX connectors ..

is it ok to turn it on this way?

The connector comes that way so if you only had 4 connector you can split them. If you have both the 24 & 8 connected you should be ready to go.
