MB & CPU Temperatures

MB & CPU Temperatures
« on: December 11, 2014, 03:46:17 pm »
Hello people,

I have an AM2 GA-M61VME-S2 rev. 1.0 motherboard with bios updated to F11c (latest), and an AM2+ Athlon x2 7750 processor installed.

Here are temperatures at idle mode.
Motherboard: 36C degrees.
CPU: 44-45C degrees.
Graphics: 44-45C degrees.

Is this right? It's winter and i find this strange.

What kind of cooler are you using on the CPU? What video card do you have? Have clean the heatsinks too?

I use a Sapphire ATI Radeon R5 200 1GB DDR3, and 4GB Ram DDR2 800.
A friend gave me an unused cooler fan of an AMD FX 8320 x 8 Black Edition.
I had higher temperatures with my own cooler before.

I don't know why they give us those junk coolers. The temps are not really bad but if you find a nice like this one.

Your temps should be around 30c. The video card you can use CCC adjust the speed on the fan.

I made a foolish mistake.
I compared bios temps to HWMonitor temps, and it's my CPU that is 36C at idle.
My motherboard temp is at 44-45C instead. :O
What's going on?

What program are you using in windows? Like I said the temps are really not that bad. Plus what case are you using and how is the air flow in the case too.

I installed fans and made no difference, so i have no fans atm.
My case has no brand but according to store receipt, it was called "HQ Infinity 17". Oo

...

Long story short - if your idle CPU temp is more than 5C higher than room temp then you have a case ventilation problem. Fix it by getting more air through the case!

I have great airflow thru my HAF 932 and my idle are 8c above room temps.  I don't consider it a problem as when gaming it goes up a tad but not much. I also use a zalman cooler for the cpu. Of course my graphics card is a lot of heat there but I use manual fan control.

I agree with agent to use case fans in a push \  pull  configuration it will help while loads are active but over all your temps are not to bad to most rigs I have built. My room temp is 68f.
