Do I need to update my BIOS

Do I need to update my BIOS
« on: January 24, 2015, 07:24:35 pm »
Hi, Just installed an AMD FX-8350 CPU and Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 CPU cooler. (I'm not a techy)

I an  3D architectural visulaizer using cinema 4D+vray. When I start a render, my CPU meter shoots up to 100%. I then attempted op launch another software and the pc restarted.

When installing a newer CPU am I required to do anything to my PC setup in order for the new CPU to work efficiently?

My mother board is the GA-78LMT-USB3

Just don't feel that there's an improvement in the performance of the PC.

No tech minded at all.

Regards,

George

What bios are you at and how much paste did you put on the CPU. You only need small amount. Like the size of a BB in the middle of the CPU.
