Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 Rev 3.0 Network Question

Ok, so I'm not sure if this is OS related or MB, but it's the first time I've encountered such an issue.

Every time I reboot the computer, the icon in the systray shows no network access.  I open network properties and everything looks fine.  If I disable and re-enable the NIC, the connection comes right up.

I have already updated the driver with motherboard_driver_lan_realtek_8111_w7 as well as the bios and other recommended updates on the gigabyte support page.

I'm not sure if it is an issue with the NIC or if something in the Win7 configuration is not telling it to go out and request an IP address via DHCP.

I'll keep digging, but any thoughts?

Unplug network cable and start computer then after you log into windows plug it in. After it sees your network and all then restart and see if problem reoccurs.

I use a SSD drive and mine starts so fast I have to wait 15 to 30 seconds at times for network to come up.

That appears to be exactly what's happening. When I started the pc (no ethernet cable) and then plugged it in, it came up.

Is there anything that can be done to correct this aside from either unplugging it or disabling/re-enabling the NIC?  That seems rather kludgy.

Leaving it just sit (with ethernet attached) does not connected even after a few minutes.

I would try completely  uninstalling it and then reboot and plug it in and install drivers.
