Newer BIOS...Support future NVMe SSD drive

Flashed the OFFICIAL F9 BIOS from Gigabyte for the Gaming G1 and the

"PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller"

is back again in the Device Manager just like from the F8g BETA BIOS.

USB problems remain... SIGH

The worst thing is that we are once again always errors with the memory. To my run at 3000.



And the worst thing is that I have to disconnect Samsung ssd and HDD Hitachi to enter the BIOS...

"PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller" only appears in windows 7 I think

When you guys say you have to disconnect your drives are you saying a EXTERNAL USB drive or drives from the SATA internal controllers?

I'm connected to the sSATA connecters only. I've never had to remove drives to enter the BIOS.

Anyways, I think I'm going to flash back to F7 on the G1 and leave it unless Gigabyte should pull their head out of their bass and actually post a USB fix related BIOS.

I'm not going to hold my breath and I'm never buying another Gigabyte product

I have Windows 8.1
I have to disconnect Internal controller HGST 6 Tb drive to enter in BIOS.
Today I've tried with a WD RED 6 TB as internal and now I can get into BIOS.

It seems that there are some problems to detect hard drives

The best BIOS I've tried at the moment is the F7 and the F8

Yeah, I would think the Western Digital drives would be the most compatible.

When people go to Newegg to buy a motherboard and read the X99 feedback remarks, it's GOT to be hurting their sales for everybody saying don't buy Gigabyte and they just go on ignoring the feedback. It just bewilders me. Most of the Gigabyte complaints are USB and all Gigabyte does is post BS BIOS updates.

FWIW - the PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller error can be easily resolved by reinstalling the chipset drivers in Win7/8 after installing the later BIOS's.

I installed Win 7 with the F6 BIOS (Latest at the time) and the Chipset driver posted @ Gigabyte. Gigabyte probably added the PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller like you said in later BIOS's which I think is for the fan and temp monitors.  So now when I update to later BIOS's, it pops up in the Device Manager.

I'm just going to keep the F7 for now and if a BIOS is posted to fix USB problems, I'll probably do as you suggest. I think it would probably be wise to un-install all drivers before re-installing the Chipset again though. Then reinstall drivers.

I'm running the X99-UD4 and I'm not having any problems with USB or anything with hard drives. I'm running win 7 on array and windows 10 on a M2 SSD. I have 2-240gb SSD, 4-600gb WD raptors, DVD, & DVD/rw.

The only problem I'm having is a BSOD once in awhile. I have been running this board from almost the day it came out. Plus I would still be on the bios that it came with. But I tried a newer bios to see if it would fix the BSOD NO.

I have sitting in the backroom for sale from a review a EVGA X99 Classified, ASUS X99-E WS, & ASUS X99-A. I could try one of them but I really happy with the Gigabyte board.

I don't run windows 8.1 because of all the problems with it. Yes I know windows 10 is windows 8 with all the fixes. But it is just a test OS. On the BSOD I'm not worry about it. I don't worry about the small stuff. 

One other thing is I have been doing this for over 30 yrs. When is comes to motherboards it really is a flip of the coin which one you use. They all have their problem. I've used mostly Abit, Soyo & now Gigabyte.

Curious, what USB devices have you tried? Mine FUNCTION normally, just can't reliably BOOT with something plugged in.

I have a My book 2gb ext hard drive. It will boot, but it will sit at the Gigabyte for about 20 sec. If I take the ext drive off it will boot right up.

Sounds like your getting about the same behavior as I'm getting. Try plugging in a 3 joystick HOTAS setup and watch it choke!
