GA-EX58-UD5 and memory

Hi everyone. I am new, so be patient please. I have GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 X58 motherboard and CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600.
My computer is sooo slow. I want to increase my memory and am very confuse.
Should I add to what I already got or just buy a whole new kit.

I am looking at Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866 MHZ (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory (CMD16GX3M2A1866C9).

Is this a wise move? can I add these pair to my 3 set.
Any other Ideas for increasing my memory??

what type of CPU you have, OS, what do you work with your PC? -You have enough memory.
Do you scan your PC for viruses, malware applications? How much free space you have on C partition- for virtual memory or page files, do you defragment you disk or clean disk? And the end format your PC and install new OS.

I have 3 (each 3tb)other external H.D. for storage. So you think that's enough memory? I just checked and my C; drive has 5gb free. Is it too little free space left?

If you can stay with what you are running. You are not really going to see a big difference going to to 1866.

This is what it support for DDR3 2100+/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules. If you got the 1600 running with no problem stay with it.
