Ga-j1800n-d2h. Not booting?
« on: March 12, 2015, 06:58:44 pm »
Hi guys I have a new motherboard Ga-j1800n-d2h. But I'm not getting bios screen or it seems any display.
I have a pico psu-160  And do see power light on.
8Gb memorey

Questions
1. My chassis does not have a power switch. What type of switch should it be momentary contact or open/close permant power on?
2. Does the ci header need to have a jumper?
3. Is there a minimum monitor standard?
Any other suggestions would be good as to why no sign of booting.

Silly question but you have added & connected the 4 pin ATX lead which powers the CPU?

In answer to your questions:
1 - Normally you need a momentary contact switch for power on
2 - No, you don't need to have a jumper on this header.
3 - There isn't a minimum monitor requirement as far as I know.

Thanks, yes the 4pin power clip is in place and has voltage.
Momentary switch makes sense, but was not 100% sure.

Have you got a different PSU that you can try?

Unfortunately not, but this is second psu I tried, other one I sent back.
I'm checking voltages but all is looking good so far.

I'm not getting any sign of life no bleeping or flicker on screen
