Hello,
I read this review that mentions the throttling of read burst speeds of the velociraptor by the GA-P55 boards:
http://techreport.com/articles.x/17598/6I'm planning on using an SSD drive so would like to ensure my motherboard of choice is not throttling this if possible.
My question is:
Will using a 6 Gb/s port on a GA-P55A range with a SataII SSD ensure that the channels on the motherboard are not throttling the SSD's performance?
I will be using a single Radeon 5770 GPU so will not feel any real impact of the PCI re-channeling when using the Sata3 port.
Thanks a lot for any info, I will be a first time Gigabyte buyer, for some reason preferring you over the Asus boards, but my only concerns are around this bottleneck.
