« on: March 31, 2015, 07:22:24 am »
Completely new motherboard will not start up properly.

Here are the Components:

MB   Gigabyte Ga-X99-Gaming 5 X99 S-2011-v3 ATX
GC   Gigabyte GV-N970WF3OC-4GD WF NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB
CPU   Intel Core i7 5930K / 3.5 GHz processor S-2011-v3
COOLER   Corsair Hydro Series H100i Extreme Perfomance Liquid CPU Cooler
Mem   Crucial DDR4 SDRAM 8GB 2133MHz DIMM 288-pin
Power   Fractal Design Newton R3 1000Watt 80 PLUS Platinum
HD   Intel 730 Series Reseller Kit 480GB 2.5" SATA-600

Memory first order (not in use) Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB 3000MHz DIMM 288-pin

Two things CPU socket or memory. I have had in the past if you don't have the memory seated just right it will do that. Or if you have a bent pin in the CPU socket.

Yes first i ordered Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB 3000MHz DIMM 288-pin memory but in compability list they was not there. Then i order only 8GB of Crucial DDR4 SDRAM 8GB 2133MHz DIMM 288-pin that is OK.

he memory is set in socket DDR4_3_1B that is OK. Yes i have checked that the memory is correct in the socket. I have also checked the CPU socket (in microscope) that all pins looks OK. I work at laboratory.

All fans and Led lights for 10 sec and after that restart and than again all fans and led. No "Post Message" to enter setup. I have allso tryed with Another graphic card.

I have allso put a fan to CPU_FAN in case if that was the problem with the water cooler.

Any more hints?

The 8 gb 2133 are they 4 gb ea or just one stick? Those are the only things that could cause something like that. There are only couple of things that could be wrong CPU is bad or the PSU is getting power to the CPU.

Plus it could be a bad board too. If you can't test the CPU & Memory on another board you are between a rock and hard place. That is which one could it be.
