Fan profile - how to set permanently
« on: March 29, 2015, 10:34:30 am »
Hello everyone,

I have recently purchased a PC with a Gigabyte Z97X motherboard. The PC boots with fan speed at maximum, and each time I have to go into the Gigabyte System Information and set it to 'quiet'.

Is there a way to save/set this selection so I don't have to go through the process every time I boot up?

Many thanks,

Lylio

Hi Lylio,

you can set the Fan Speeds for the CPU and System fans in BIOS under the PC Health Status Tab.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

After asking gigabyte support, I was told that the SIV boots as a background app. But if that's true, surely my fan should change to 'quiet' after windows launches.

Once Windows boots, I have to open the SIV app and only then does the fan change down to 'quiet'.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks
