Wrong model in BIOS and MOBO

Wrong model in BIOS and MOBO
« on: April 28, 2015, 01:37:52 am »
Hi everybody!

Unfortunately, my first post is about a problem I'm having really bad!

When I tried to upgrade my BIOS to F7 (because I'm using hackintosh and there's a lot of blablabla....), I realized the model in BIOS shows Z87M-D3H, and in my MOBO is graphed Z87MX-D3H!

Damn!

Anyone know what can I do to correct this?!

And the BIOS right now is F10, so it's the proof that the BIOS is wrong, since there's no F10 for Z87MX-D3H...

Help!

No good...

It says Incorrect File Size for the latest Z87MX-D3H F7 or the F8a...

I did that thing to restore the main BIOS... it did, but restored the BIOS F10 from Z87M-D3H... so, I'm the same point...

Any other ideas?!

Damn bad luck!

Try and do it with a USB drive. http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1142390

What happen when you update the bios it did both the main & backup.

I never updated the BIOS! lol

It came factory this way...

I tried to update with Q-Flash to put a Z87MX-D3H BIOS in the MOBO, to correct the problem, but after hours searching for info, I found that the BIOS sizes differs from MX to M... So it was impossible...

I'm doing the process about the USB drive right now. Hope really much that it works!

Thanks again!
