I have recently purchased the ga-z97x-gaming 7 motherboard along with an Intel 4790k CPU. I have moved the Radeon R9 Gamer memory (2400mhz) over from another PC but am finding that if I use the XMP profile the BIOS will constantly exception and have to default to optimized settings.
If I scale the multiplier to say 2200mhz it's fine. This is also the case for some Ballistix 2400mhz as an additional test.
The BIOS is set to F6.
Is this a known problem with these motherboards?
