« on: July 18, 2015, 11:56:02 am »
Hello, in the description of motherboard we see support to 64Gb RAM, but the list of tested modules has max 8 Gb moduls.
Interested compatibility GA-F2A88XM-D3H with RAM modules:
1) Kingston ValueRAM <KVR16R11D4/16> DDR-III DIMM 16Gb <PC3-12800> ECC Registered with Parity CL11
2) Kingston DDR3 DIMM 16GB KVR18R13D4/16 (PC3-14900, 1800MHz, ECC Reg, CL13, DRx4)
or other 16GB modules.
Thanks.

This is from the Gigabyte site: * The maximum 64 GB of system memory can be supported using 16 GB (or above) memory modules. GIGABYTE will update the memory support list on the official website when the memory modules are available on the market.

There is only couple of companies making 16gb sticks. Plus there is only couple of kits too. I would really wait till they come out with a list. Plus I would sure that you can use that ECC Registered before I buy it. You could try and email support or call them.

Don't know why Gigabyte omitted mentioning that Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory is the only kind of memory supported. You can check comparable models from ASRock and ASUS.

http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/FM2A88M-HD+/?cat=Specifications

That means NO registered memory support.
