Windows 10 - Z97X-UD5H - Stereo mix not working

Recently upgraded to Windows 10, installed drivers using the Gigabyte tool. Everything seems fine, except that the stereo mix option in recording devices doesn't seem to work. Its present and enabled, but will not seem to pick up any audio under any circumstances. If it matters, I have a USB headset. The same hardware configuration setup was working in Win 7, so I suspect this is just a driver issue, so I've tried downloading and installing manually, but no luck. Any suggestions?

"Yes it could be a driver but more likely it is a windows 10 problem". Understand that we are all screwed when comes drivers & updates. Windows 10 is now always update all the time. Yes you can update a driver.

But windows can over write it at any time. Welcome to windows 10 people. Yes you can turn hardware updates off, but you can't turn off all updates. Microsoft has taken all control basically away from you.

"Just give Microsoft & Gigabyte time things will get fix". I'm a Microsoft Partner and at this point in time I will not run windows 10. I will run 7, 8, 8.1 over 10. I'm sorry if it sounds I don't like it.

Microsoft screwed everybody on total control on what you can do on your computer. One other thing people is Microsoft knows everything you are doing too. They know where you going on the internet and what you are saving on your computer. Again welcome to windows 10.

  And not just that....  are you read for a subscription based OS.... get ready cause its here...  All the features we got for free will be a paid service moving forward...  Media Player out...  DVD (only) player in...  want to control your DVR...  uh, that's going to cost ya...
