Hello, I'm having a very strange problem with a new GPU, before I go into the problem I will list my specs:

GA-F2A88X-D3H with latest BIOS
Athlon X4 750K (no IGP)
GV-R938G1 GAMING-4GD: New GPU
AMD HD6790: Old GPU
Corsair CXM600
Samsung Evo 850 SSD
8GB RAM (2x4GB): can't remember the specs, but I don't think it influences the problem

So I bought the new GPU and installed in the system and immediately got a black screen without the BIOS POST Beep, after several hours of trying to fix this error I plugged in the old GPU in the 2nd PCIE slot, with the new GPU in the 1st PCIE slot, cleared CMOS and got a successful POST, and a windows boot.

But now I'm running 2 GPU's, and the second/old gpu is just consuming energy, giving out heat (onto the new GPU) and noise (lots of it), so I tried to get the system to boot with only the new GPU (now I knew that everything worked hardware wise).

After a lot of hours I finally got it to work, and it worked for 3 weeks, but yesterday I had to remove an HDD, and for that I needed to unplug the memory modules and the power cable from the MB, and after plugging everything back in, the new GPU no longer boots again, black screen and no POST beep. I can't remember what the settings where that worked before.

spent some hours on the system and got it to work again using the 2 GPU's method (described above), but I can't get it to work with just the new GPU, I think it's a configuration problem in the BIOS, and I need your guys help in figuring out the correct settings.

One thing I remember is that "fast boot" was the key to getting the system to work correctly, but now it doesn't work with that option enabled, it must be a mix of settings.

what should I set CSM and its other settings? in fast boot what other settings should I change? which opROM should I select?

any help is greatly appreciated, I've spent more hours than I can count on this problem.

* For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.   (The PCIEX16 slot conforms to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)

* To support PCI Express 3.0, you must install an FM2+ APU. Š << This, you may have to run that shiny new card PCIe 2.0 spec x4 if you aren't running an APU with 3.0 support.

>NB PCIe Slot Video  Sets the PCI Express graphics card on the PCI Express slot controlled by the North Bridge as the first display. (Default)  This one Controls x16 slot


>SB PCIe Slot Video  Sets the PCI Express graphics card on the PCI Express slot controlled by the South Bridge as the first display. This controls x4 and PCI - You might have to settle for this PCIe 2.0 and x4

Integrated Graphics Enables or disables the onboard graphics function.

Auto     The BIOS will automatically enable or disable the onboard graphics depending on the graphics card being installed. (Default) 

>Disabled   Disables the onboard graphics.

Force     Always activates the onboard graphics, whether or not a PCI Express card is installed.

Take this with a grain of salt.  I am not an AMD guy anymore and have not kept up with APU > GPU requirements.  I hope one of the AMD users here can help further.

I'm not trying to run my new GPU as gen3, since I don't have a gen3 APU, also, in the bios I don't get an option to select gen3.

Since I'm running an athlon CPU, there isn't any IGP also.

Right now I'm typing this on the system in question running both cards, I just spent about 2 hours trying to get it to work with just one card but failed.
