GA-MA785GM-US2H Motherboard won't boot from USB Flash Drive

GA-MA785GM-US2H Motherboard won't boot from USB Flash Drive
« on: September 25, 2015, 06:44:41 am »
This mobo has been working fine for years. I needed to do some software changes so I made a new 2G flash drive. This Flash drive boots in other machines but will not boot in this one. I am also finding that no Flash drives seem to boot on this system now. The boot order is set to USB-FDD; USB-HDD; USB-ZIP. Legacy USB is enabled, USB 1.1 and 2.0 are enabled.  I am using the USB sockets that are directly on the Mobo (rear panel), not the ones connected by cables to the front panel.  The mobo is version 1.1. The Bios is  Award v6 00PG  F7. I have cleared CMOS and reset the Bios to defaults, then adjusted the boot order and other parameters mentioned.

System boots fine from a Hard Drive, but I need it to boot from the Flash. Keyboard is plugged into USB and I tried it plugged into serial (green on lower left of back panel)

I could really use some help on this.

Does the MB had a one time boot option menu such as F12?

Installed latest bios and problem went away, and yes it does have a one time boot option (F12)
