The driver is not in the support list but i see a lot of ppl in the forum on lower tier x99 motherboards running the  Samsung 950 Pro with no problem.

Can some1 confirm that the  Samsung 950 Pro can run on my mobo ?

Ok. thank!

Since the board is x1/2 on M.2 i wont be getting the full speeds of the 950 that is x4 . Because there is support for the Samsung SM951 M.2 drive that is x4 as well. So i am kind of lost ^_^ . What the support stands for if it wont run properly ( PCI-E 2.0 x2 is 8 Gb/s (1 GB/s) - 6.4 Gb/s (800 MB/s))?

I guess support stands for ''the system is going to detect the hardware''.

So at the end of the day its not worth going for m.2 if you are rocking an ssd raid (2.5).

The specifiacations refer to the m.2 port as a socket 3 port but i thought the socket 3 are x4  ???
''1 x M.2 PCIe connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2260/2280 SATA & PCIe x2/x1 SSD support)''

I have a ssd raid with two 240 gb drives - windows 7. Plus I run a Crucial M550 M.2 - windows 10

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148797.

My raid read is 756 mb's write is 614 mb's. I'll have to check what the M2 is running at. I thought I had check it.

I just check my M2 drive.

M2 - Read - 504 / write - 357
Score - 408 - 321
                937

Raid SSD's Read - 756 / write - 615
Score - 457 - 553
               1239

i see. Seems there must be a mistake ok the specificantions since its not socket 3 but socket 2 after all . In this post http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?topic=16594.0 some got a 950 pro used it on the mobo slot and got :
Sequential Read :   835.475 MB/s
Sequential Write :   726.472 MB/s
So you can either go for a 950 pro 265GB 210€ (i mean its still cheaper than 2xssd at 250GB at raid 0 and you get better  writes) or get a PCIe to M.2 gen 3 card and hit 950 pro 512GB :/ damn

I was selling all of his reviews. I lost my buddy to a heart attack :( I know this isn't the M2 card you are looking at, but here is a review on one. Plus I had it and sold it too.

I checked this one http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=575&area=en seems cool 32Gbps (guessing PCI 3.0  ;D). It was the only black pcb i could find :( & its silverstone so it should be fine.  ;D

At the end of the day i will hit the 950 pro at 512GB but such a shame that all the mobos of gigabyte exept  the oc ones are m.2 PCIe 2.0 x2  :'( . I wouldnt mind been gen 2 x4  :-\ (there was a reason it had the most cheap waterblocks after all :D)

I got this one just to try it and like you said it should be getting high numbers. But it isn't not even the numbers that it shows on the site for it.
