My system is
Core I7 Haswell 4790 3.6 ghz
EVGA Geforce 980 TI Classified
Gigabyte z97-x-ud3h
Crucial mx 200 250gb ssd
Seagate 4 tb hard drive
Seagate 2 tb hard drive

Yesterday while I was playing batman arkham asylum,  It cut off automatically.  I check the cpu temperature when it came back on and it was between 43 or 44.  I checked the video card temperature so it was between 30 and 40.  I noticed in the bios that my cpu frequency is set to 4000.  What is the correct setting for a 3.6 cpu.  My memory is corsair vengeance 16gb frequency is set to 1333 mhz.  It's a 1600 MHz memory.  What are the correct settings?  Everything is set to auto.

You non "K" CPU has a base clock of 3.6.  Max turbo of 4.0 Ghz.  So, 4000 should be ok.

Can you please clarify what "It cut off automatically" means exactly.  Game stopped, Machine restarted?  I suspect you mean the latter, but didn't want to guess.

I have basically the same system as you...  except 970 and "k" processor.  For memory you should be using XMP Profile 1.  The SPD spec of the ram is 1333, but XMP profile will allow it to run at 1600 MHz correctly.

Your temps CPU/GPU sound fine.  Auto settings should yield stable results.

Other information that might help....  BIOS version, GForce drivers version.  Are you trying to to OC the card using Precision?

I don't know how to overclock the video card.  I left everything where it was.  When I was playing a game the machine cut off.  I don't like my cpu temperature I want it lower.  The GeForce driver version 353.82.  The bios version is f8 I think.
