GA-Z170X-UD5 Non TH

Hi Guys

I live in Australia and for some reason the only version of the GA-Z170X-UD5 i can seem to find is the Thunderbolt version which is strange since the GA-Z170X-UD5-TH is not even listed on the Gigabyte.com.au website.

The issue is that the TH version losses a Gigabit Nic and the second M2 slot at which point is you are not using the Thunderbolt you might as well get UD3 (metal PCIE slots are all good and well but when was the last time you had a PE16 Slot break) . I really want Dual Intel Nics for teaming and most of he gaming boards use Killer Nics that cant be teamed.

Any input?

Now here in the USA we get the GA-Z170X-UD5. Plus I have look and parts of the rest of the world get the GA-Z170X-UD5-TH. Right at this time we are only getting 4 version of the board.

Give them time you will maybe get the other version. Plus I have check your Gigabyte site and the USA site and they are the same. One other thing is in the USA the boards will not be release till Aug 17th.

Thanks , Fingers crossed Aus does not get screwed over with the TH version permanently.

Either that or I need to find a board that supports a strange PCIE config (16X , 4 or 8X and a 4X ) and use a PCIE Nic I have already. I'm sick of being stuck with Intel -E products and their crazy slow release cycle, gone are the days or Enthusiasts get the good stuff first.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I can't find anything else regarding this board and I think it would be handy to keep it all in one place.

I have the exact same issue today: I'm looking for GA-Z170X-UD5 in EU. No luck - I can't find it anywhere. All shops sell is the TH version which I do not want, as I lose 1 NIC and 2 SATA ports in comparison.

Could someone confirm that these two boards are confined to different continents or that the non-TH version has been discontinued?
