« on: December 09, 2015, 11:03:40 am »
Hi everyone,

I've got the next problem. My SSD is not beeing recognized by my MB. :/ I've tried everything from switching cables, trying other SATA-ports, updating the BIOS... nothing works. I've even tried to switch from SSD to HDD, but the same results... nothing!

my setup:
Intel Core i7-5820K
Corsair CX 750M
Gigabyte GA-X99-UD5 WIFI
G.Skill Ripjaws V - DDR4 2133Mhz CL15
GeForce GTX 970 - Superclocked ACX 2.0
Cooler Master Hyper 412S
Crucial BX200 - 240GB
Cooler Master N300

Is this a new build? Is there any of the drives being recognized? Go into the bios and make sure all your Sata & sSata are enabled.

On a lot of my SSD drives I have had to put them into another computer and open disk management and initialize and format drive before it was seen by my new build.

It's indeed a new build. I'll try to format the SSD in order to get it working. Hope it works!

You know that you learn something new every day. I have been doing this for over 20 yrs. In all the computers that I have build and that is over 20 this yr. I have never ever had to do this with SSD. Not saying it will never happen. But if it does I know what to do.

That's really strange about the SSD because I too and am in the process of putting mine together. Novice PC builder actually. Had some great help with it here so far.

With regard the SSD. I didn't have to format. I bought a brand new SSD and installed the retail version of Windows 10 on it from the Flash USB drive but at no time did I have to format it. My SSD wouldn't Boot because silly me didn't put in the right socket.   8)
