ga-ma770t-ud3 v1.1
« on: February 26, 2022, 12:44:16 pm »
Is it possible to boot from ide hard drive, boots ok from USB and or sata.
Ide fails to boot with message:-
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK & PRESS ENTER.
Or is it because Linux could not prepare the installation disk.
Update:-
Changed same hard drive using sata interface, boots OK everything loads, BUT I need to boot from ide not sata as I need sata to hold my data (all 6 drives).

Greetings,
You're running 6 disks from a 12 yr old board...

Consider what you might loose and then decide if using old hardware is worth the risk.

If your data is important to you, I'd be looking at the more modern solution.  Up to you.

I'm just asking you changing the boot order in the bios in Advanced BIOS Features?
