Z170X-UD5 Idle Voltage
« on: February 21, 2016, 11:01:07 pm »
Is there anyone who has gotten dynamic voltage offset to work "good"? What I mean is that I am stable at ~1.3V vcore at 4.5 GHz. My VID at this frequency can sometimes be reported as close to 1.5v, which is insane. I tried using "Normal + Offset" and the voltage spiked really high and scared the crap out of me (hopefully it did not damage the CPU). If I set my offset to negative the board will not even post.

Essentially I am forced to manually enter my voltage. Auto voltage is terrible as well (getting close to 1.4v).

Basically, I want to "clamp" the vcore to 1.3, but still have idling down voltages. When I manually set a voltage though it ignores the fact that I have C states enabled (not the frequency, but the voltage).

Any suggestions?
