Hey guys
I've been searching all day to no avail so I'm hoping to get some help here. I just completed my first build with the gaming 6, an 850 Evo SSD, i7 6700k, MSI R9 390, and vengeance 16gb RAM. My boot time from the moment I install windows to when i fully set all my programs/drivers/settings to my liking is always around 25s to windows / 28 to fully log in.
I'm seeing some people on reddit etc. able to boot under 10s with the gaming 3, 5, 7 (haven't found posts about the 6), and I'm just wondering: is there something I can change with my BIOS settings, or is there something faulty with my hardware, or are my software settings/installation not done correctly? A 25s vs. 10s boot time doesn't
really bug me, except that I may have gotten faulty hardware so now would be the time to go in for an exchange
.
for reference, I've checked my ssd in samsung magician and it reads/writes fine, I'm booting from UEFI, I'm still on F2 BIOS (newest version is F3), my MB temperatures at idle are around 30C, with one of the five sensors always 10C above the rest (this is normal, yes?).
Most of the time is spent hung up on the Ga logo. 7 seconds for it to show up (blank screen), 7 seconds for spinning wheels to come up, another 6 to get to login.
thanks
