I built a new computer recently, I started with an Asus maximus 8 hero motherboard, only to find out it is incapable of raid with 2 x M.2 PCIe X4 NVME type disks (Samsung 950 pro SSD). The gaming 7 at the same price point can do it just fine. And here are the results
