VIA VL805 XHCI controller failed driver install

GA-970A-D3P MB running Win7 sp1 Pro.

After doing a search, I see there is a HUGE problem with this driver with no solution. I treid it more than once, but all I get is a failed driver message. Below is the log file from the last try.

Anyone here found a solution?

What is with this:"this code has a potential bug" remark??

The USB2 ports work fine. Device Manager has no flagged entries and that what looks to be a useless utility was installed.

There is an apparently problem with this lame AMD Installation Manager that has been reported elsewhere.
First, their 'Install Mgr' which isn't and shouldn't be necessary does not install, then the USB3 drivers won't install. I tried the package from Gigabyte and from AMD and the same thing. The last time was on a fresh W7 install.

This reminds me of the problems with XP and those HD audio drivers where M$ failed to include a 'fix' in sp3 that they were suppose to include, then not telling anyone that it wasn't here, thus preventing installing HD audio driver package until one of those so called "knowledge base' patches is installed first.

I bet if was a Wintel driver, there wouldn't be a problem!
