Multi-GPU setup / get past the 5 cards limit

Hi,

I am trying to set up a multi-GPU system, my current setup has 5 cards running - I want to add another card, but when I install it I get the "PCI Out Of Resources" message.

What I am looking for is a way to get more free resources, can this be done? Is there a "advanced" menu at the BIOS where I can disable unused features?

OR! Is there a Gigabyte motherboard (perfect would be of course a 2011-3, because I have the CPU for that socket) which can handle more then 5 GPUs?

My current board is a "GA X-99 Gaming 5", GPUs are all NVIDIA/Maxwell-Generation.

I'm just asking how do you have 5 GPU's on that board when there is only 4 PCI-E slots? None of the X99 have 5 slots.

Thanks for your suggestion, I've seen that board too - to be honest I am not so tempted in getting a ASUS/ASRock board, as I had some bad experiences with them in the past.

I hoped (and still do hope) that I can get this done by tweaking some BIOS settings, or... if it really isn't doable by getting a Gigabyte board (waiting for the new X99 boards to arrive - there is also one with 5 PCIe slots, maybe...).
