GA-Q87M-D2H - BIOS isuues.

I purchased a Gigabyte GA-Q87M-D2H off of ebay from a china seller for $50, board only.

I get it, and all seems fines and I decide to use for my HTPC server to record my HBO and other shows.

All goes well, I watch TV it is fine.  I go to my HBO and it is of course protected and gives me an error and to registrer.

During registering my cable card, "Digital Cable Advisor".  it lags out and says my xml file is corrupt and I google the error and it says it's usually an SMBIOS issue and flashing (reflashing) a BIOS should help.

I go to flash the BIOS from F& to the BETA F8g that is on the Gigabyte US site and now I get another error.

!!! OEMID Mismatch !!!

Is this fixable?  Everything seems to work, except the protected HBO channels.

Okay, I just installed win 7 and sure enough the same issue.  I go to run the WEI index and it starts out with everything unrated.  I run the WEI and sure enough, I still get an error.  not a very good description.  But seems to be the same.

Is there a cure?
