Gigabyte automatic Fan speed (Smart Fan) is based on system temperature... even for CPU and CPU OPT fans (on my GA-Z170X-UD3). Silly isn't it? Even more so when you have a watercooled system using these 2 fan ports...
I'd prefer to leave my motherboard as it is, without removing the chipset radiator to add a chipset water block.
So does anyone know of a way to:
- use CPU temperature to set CPU fan speed (another, reliable, tool ?)
- convince Gigabyte that they should update their tool to enable Smart Fan to use either temperatures (CPU, System/Chipset, maybe even Motherboard) for fan speed.
Thanks!
