Hi guys,
I recently bought PC parts to build my second PC rig. Everything was fine (I was able to play some Steam and Oculus games) until I restarted my rig after installing some updates. After pushing the Power SW there was no reaction but the red mainboard light. I’ve send the mainboard (Asus Z170i pro gaming) back to the online shop and ordered a Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI. Now the PC starts for like 10 secs and then turns off again, starts again, turns off again etc. I can only get out of this boot loop if I plug out the power chord. I can’t get to the BIOS, the monitor doesn’t get input signal.
I started looking on Google (since this has solved like ALL of my problems I’ve ever had with computers) and it seems like many people have this problem, so I found a thread where somebody said he ordered a different RAM (CT4G4DFS8213) to test it and it worked. This won’t work for me, I also uninstalled my HDD and Msata 2 drive (since I already have installed OS + drivers, maybe this causes the problem” but even if I only have the CPU + RAM (+ CPU & 24pin power cable) the PC still stuck in boot loop.
My specs are:
i5 6600k (stock)
GA-Z170N-WIFI
Asus RoG 1060 OC (not plugged in since I found the problem)
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT grey (DDR4-2400), 2x 8GB
Samsung SM952 SSD (M.2)
Be quiet! Pure Lower L8 CM 530w
Can anyone help me please? I really don’t know how to go on, just want to get this damn computer to work
I appreciate every answer here, thanks in advance!
Greetings from Germany,
Phil
