I am using Windows7 on the EX58-UD5 motherboard (i7 920 @3.8ghz) with an intel 160 GB SSD (G2).
After reading many threads on various forums I am confused as the which settings to set in the BIOS to get optimal performance when running my intel SSD (160GB G2) .
There are several settings that I need clarification on:
1. SATA RAID/AHCI Mode
Options
Disabled
AHCI
RAID
2. SATA Post 0-3 SATA/IDE Ctrl mode
Options
Disabled
Enabled
3. Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl mode
Options
IDE
AHCI
4. Also there is the registry setting that needs to be changed for AHCI if that is the preferred route.
Could someone please advise which ones need selecting in the BIOS above and also the registry change?
