« on: September 05, 2016, 09:10:29 pm »
Hi,
I have Gigabye GA-Z170-Gaming K3 rev1.0 realtek speakers fill and it seems like it doesn't supports "speaker fill" option I tried diffrent drivers of realtek and nothing works I even tried to use microsoft driver but it doesnt play any sound at all.

What I want is to convert stereo sound to 5.1 one.

Can anyone recommend anything to make speaker fill option works?

Greetings,
I would suggest sticking with RealTek drivers.  Also what type of speakers are you plugging into the audio connectors?  Which ports are you using?

I searched your MB manual for "speaker fill" and didn't get any hits.  Are you certain it up converts 2 channel to 5 or 7.1?

I am on realtek drivers yes speaker fill does exactly that.
I am connecting my 5.1 speakers using Coax Cable when I test my rear speakers in realtek control panel they are workign fine.
Speaker fill does exactly that:

Coax to an audiophile means RCA.  I know you aren't using this since the audio connectors are all 3.5mm and there is no Digital Out.

6 x audio jacks (Center/Subwoofer Speaker Out, Rear Speaker Out, Side Speaker Out, Line In, Line Out, Mic In)

Whats plugged into what?  Just describe using jack color and what is plugged into it.  Does your 5.1 system have a separate controller (head unit with master volume, gain, sound modes)?

I know what setting you are referring to now.  I have this on my Asus Z68 with Realtek chip. Are you selecting 5.1 as the output mode for playback on the interface?

Yes I'm using Genius SW-HF5.1 5100 and yes it has a seperate controller.
Yes I'm selecting 5.1 in realtek options and I'm checking sound works fine in realtek test mode the sound goes out of rear speakers as well as others.
The speakers are connected to computer using 3 x 2 Chinch - jack cables.
