GA-Z170X Gaming7 BIOS problems
« on: September 06, 2016, 02:01:30 pm »
Having a hell of a time getting this motherboard to act politely.   Have tried to post to BIOS 7 times and only once would it work.   During that time I was able to update the BIOS from F3 to F7 but now I can't get into the BIOS again.   I have seen this as a problem on different forums.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Greetings,

Are you using FastBoot in BIOS?  If so, suggest you not do so.

No idea what OS you are running?

Answers might change depending on what you reply....

But, you can try a battery pull, which should get you back into BIOS.

If you are using windows 10, Settings> Updates and Security> Recovery > Advanced Start Up > Advanced Troubleshooting (when system restarts) > Then UEFI (makes changes) to UEFI Tile.  On the subsequent restart, you will automatically be put into your BIOS.
