[BIOS Problem] Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti (GV-N560OC-1GI)
« on: September 15, 2016, 10:50:49 pm »
Hello gigabyte community, i recently buyed the video card from title.
Driver crashes random, pc freezes random... I searched and i found that i need to update my bios because of some calculation problems on clocks/voltages.
I downloaded the bios update from the official site and when i try to run "GVFLASH_GV-N560OC-1GI.exe" i'm getting an error: BIOS is not match for you card, please contact us from GIGABYTE website tehnical support.
I searched again and i found out i need to flash with other tools from the gigabyte website and i found out there are 2 options: VGA@BIOS (I don't have a gigabyte motherboard so i can't use it) and Easy Boost (Autoflash: No information update here.; Manually flash: Flash bios file fail !)
I have the F13 bios version (Core clock: 900; Memory clock: 2004 and Shader clock: 1800)

PC Specs:
Motherboard: MSI MS-7512
Processor: Intel Celeron E3400 2.60GHz
Power Supply: MS-Tech MS-N750-VAL (750W)
RAM Memory: 3GB DDR2

Greetings,
Where did you search and get the information stating you had to update the cards vBIOS?

Are you overclocking, memory, CPU or GPU?

What OS are you running?
What driver version are you using?
Have you tried any others?

??????

I have a 560Ti running on a z77 platform, W10.  I flashed its BIOS about 5 yrs ago but this was to remedy a fan speed control issue.  It otherwise runs very stable.

@BIOS does not support NVidia based cards

VGA Tools -- @BIOS
 Support ATI Radeon HD 5000-series,6000-series,7000-series, R7 200-series, R7 300 series, R9 200series, R9 300series, R9F/NANO series Models,RX400 series Models

Easy Boost - Does
VGA Tools – Easy Boost
Support NVIDIA GeForce 200-series, 400-series,500-series and ATI Radeon HD 5000-series ,6000-series ,7000-series models.

Flashing your BIOS should be a last resort, unless you are certain it adds missing features, enhances compatibility or resolves a specific problem.
