z170x gaming 7 audio buzz and whine

z170x gaming 7 audio buzz and whine
« on: September 18, 2016, 08:43:27 pm »
Hi,
I'm having an issue using the built creative audio with 5.1 output for a z170x gaming 7. In 2D mode there is whistling whine that will fluctuate with moving any desktop window or even changing tabs in the sound blaster pro studio UI. When in 3D mode (gaming) the whine turns into an extremely loud heavy buzzing making using speakers pretty much impossible.
When using headphones there is no issue.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

How about posting a video of the behavior?

Here's video as requested. Game was running and sound was set to 0 in windows control panel.

Speakers are self powered, studio grade.
