Mainly whilst in games, I can hear what i can only discribe as similar to the sound of a hard drive loading, and at the same time I can also hear ticking/clicking sound every now and then.
I don't have a HDD, just an SSD, so this couldnt have been the sound from that. However, i replaced the SSD anyway. but the system is still making noise. I then thought it was the PSU, so i purchased a new one. Still, the noise continues. I thought maybe it's my graphics card, even though thats brand new. So i took that out, ran the system on onboard graphics, started up the pc and it's still making that sound. I also removed all the case fans, the sound still happens. I'm certain it's coming from the motherboard.
I'm at a complete loss about this. I have contacted gigabyte support, they told me to disconnect my hdd, i told them i do not have one and only have an ssd, they then replied again telling me to disconnect my hdd. So i thought ok i'll entertain you. so i disconnected my ssd and the sound continues even on booting. I told them this, they then replied asking me to disconnect everything including the .... you guessed it... hdd.... which i told them i don't have. I did this, still the sound continues.
So, i sent them a sound clip of the noise. Their reply? "we cannot hear any clicking/ticking or loading sounds, try disconnecting your hdd"...... at that point my brain was going to expload, so i thought i'd ask on here.
